New char Hermosaby ~Rubykicks

First off this picture is horrible I hate gimp and making backgrounds in this program. I'm only posting this so you guys can see my new OC. Thankfully I have SAI now. I'll be ditching gimp soon.

THIS DESCRIPTION IS SUPER LONG SORRY I JUST HAD TOO MUCH TO SAY ABOUT THIS CHARACTER DON'T HURT ME.

But yeah I was listening to Electric Feel [link] and this character legit just popped into my head randomly and had no choice but to create her. <3

I named her after Hermosa beach in California, one of my favorite memories was my night there.

I wanted her to have a beautiful name and was hoping Hermosa meant something nice.I totally SPAZED when I found out Hermosa means beautiful in Spanish.

PERFECT NAME COULD NOT BE MORE PERFECT.

Some facts about her:
*She's a love interest for

's character Mylo, however they do not even meet properly until they are both much older.
*She's an Atlantian sea dragon
*The yellow markings on her skin is actually stored electricity
*She lives deep in the ocean in a "Atlantis" under water utopia. That being said all the creatures can generate electricity in order to see and survive.
* She's not the same type of dragon as Mylo, Mylo can leave the water whenever he wants because he breaths air, Hermosa has gills and cannot breath air. Mylo is a common water dragon whereas Hermosa is a Atlantis sea dragon. cB

Personality: She's very VERY shy and reserved, she doesn't have tons of close friends. She's not upset by that though, she's very independent and strong. By nature she's very curious and hates the idea of not understanding something. She's pretty smart and kind, but not very open about her feelings. The only person she'd probably ever tell anything personal to is Mylo.

I have more info on her and her role in my weird little fantasy world that me and

have developed. I'll probably reveal more later. c:

So yeah I had to get all that out.

Totally friggen ADORE this character I wish I had the skills to draw her like she deserves. ;o; I totally wasn't going for my usual cutesy character when I did her.

Do not copy or reference her design. If you'd like to make a sea dragon of the same type please talk to me before hand I have guidelines for my species and I don't want a ton of these running around DA.

Oh and in other news I'm making a Kracken character to go with her.

Regardless of my opinions about the song "electric feel"

I really like this. I find the shades of blue mesmerizing and the bright yellow perfectly complements the dark blue body. I thoroughly enjoy the shading of this! It is evident care was taken to show the light penetrating the water and the increasing depth of the sea through diligent shading. The eye is so mysterious and captures a glint of light! Tu dibujas hermosa animales! Tu no necesita cambiar nada. Esta es muy perfecto. Lo Siento: Estoy un poco oxidado en mi espanol.

It was very fun to do, I'm not used to doing underwater pictures so I'm really glad you noticed I tried to make the shading match the depth of water she was in! c:

I was actually able to read that spanish bit quite well <3 Gracias, My spanish is too rusty to even begin to write, I can read it but can't write it! c:

Thanks! I actually had fun shading this because it look me only like 15 minutes.

Soft shading is so much easier than cell shading for a mouse user. lol
